We believe in borderless exploration and new ways of doing things. To make our tours across the Western Cape, Overberg, and Garden Route accessible to international guests, we’ve decided to include cryptocurrency as a secure and efficient payment method. We use VALR as our trusted crypto exchange business partner to manage conversion into South African Rands.

By choosing to pay via Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, or USDT / USDC, you help us bypass traditional international banking fees. We pass these savings directly to you with a 2.5% discount on your booking.

How the Process Works

Paying for your tour with digital currency follows these steps:

  1. Confirm Availability: We’ll verify tour availability for your preferred dates and provide a personalised quote in South African Rand (ZAR). Once you approve the itinerary, we’ll send you a secure Booking Form link and a wallet address.
  2. Passenger Details: Complete your details via the booking link and select “Cryptocurrency” as your preferred payment method.
  3. Secure Payment: To manage market volatility, quotes for Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), or Solana (SOL) are valid for 30 minutesfrom the timestamp of our Whatsapp or email message. Quotes for stablecoins (USDT or USDC) are valid for 2 hours. You may settle the payment directly from your exchange (e.g. Coinbase, Bitpanda, Binance, etc) or private wallet. Please share a screenshot of the transaction confirmation with us once complete.
  4. Confirmation: Once the transaction is confirmed on the blockchain and we receive the funds in our bank account, your booking is officially secured. We will issue your digital receipt and final tour itinerary.

Important Security Protocols

  • Verified Communication – We only send wallet addresses via our official Southern Cape Adventures email. We will never request crypto payment via WhatsApp (unless specifically requested) or social media.
  • Accuracy is Vital – Please ensure you use the exact wallet address provided. Blockchain transactions are irreversible; incorrect addresses can result in a total loss of funds.
    • Copy/Paste only – never type the address manually.
    • Double-check the full address before sending.
    • Ensure you are sending via the correct network.
  • Protect Your Private Keys – Southern Cape Adventures will never ask for your private keys or seed phrases.
